Peer Support Aid

Essential Functions:

1. Supervise and be aware of the whereabouts of the members at all times, making sure tha safety standards are met. Focus on the well-being of the members, above all, paying close attention to the individual needs of those in attendance.
2. Take leadership in cleaning and maintaining a safe enviroment in all areas of the facility.
3. Provide input into plans and ideas that will support the success of the program and the members attending the program.
4. Maintain regular communication with supervisory staff, which include tracking the stock of supplies needed to keep day to day processes running smoothly.                             

Other Functions: 

1.  Working knowledge of problem solving and conflict resoluation skills in the event that an issue or conflict may need to be addressed. 
2. Working knowledge of basic computer skills as a resource in planning groups and activities for members and as a means of communication with other staff/supervisors. This could include basic MS office, the use of the internet search engines and email functions.
3. Ability to work well with other team members to meet program needs. This includes completing daily tasks as assigned by supervisors.
4. Mimimal driving of company vehicle may be required. 
5. Must have a valid drivers license and auto insurance.
6. Must have a high school diploma or GED certification. 

Expeience: Must have experience assissting other in completing daily tasks in accordance with evey special needs. Must also have expeerience in working in a team-based setting, supporting other staff in maintaining a cohesive and successful program.

Special Knowledge, Certifications:

1. Complete the DWC online training and maintain an up-to-date transcipt.
2. Obtain and maintain basic CPR and First Aid Certification
