POSITION: WRAP Program Manager   Supervision: Director of Recovery Strategy & Implementation  GENERAL DESCRIPTION:   This position is a member of the Leadership team. The Washtenaw Recovery Advocacy Project (WRAP) Program Manager works closely with the Director of Community Initiatives and CEO and performs a variety of tasks related to advocacy, community education, and stigma reduction as related to those with substance use disorders. The position requires an understanding of community services and event planning, the organization and scheduling of activities and tasks, information tracking, and data entry. This position is involved at the local, state, and federal levels in promoting and advocating for the Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC), which include Recovery Supports. The WRAP Program Manager also serves as a face and voice of recovery in the community, with the intention of helping others to find hope for those with substance use disorders, and assists in creating a recovery-friendly community by networking with numerous local organizations and businesses.   DESCRIPTION:   Coordinate established annual WRAP events, such as the Walk for Recovery, the Recovery Softball Game, and “Recovery Is” Panel Discussions.   Coordinates weekly recovery meeting schedules.   Reach out to community supports to request assistance with activities.   Recruit and train WRAP volunteers.   Participate in Leadership team meetings.   Maintain a comprehensive list of donors, sponsors, and resources within the community.   Coordinate, schedule, and attend a monthly regional meeting for all Recovery Community Organizations in the PIHP region (Livingston, Lenawee, Washtenaw, and Monroe).    Coordinate monthly WRAP meetings, including securing a rotating chairperson, creating the agenda, and regular communication with volunteers.   Participates in general staff activities (i.e. staff meetings, trainings, etc.).   Coordinate, schedule, and attend meetings locally and at the State level related to the program.   Complete data entry for required reports.   Engage in occasional public speaking opportunities to help educate the community about substance use disorders, the importance of creating recovery-friendly communities, and the hope for recovery.   Maintain partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and continue seeking new partnership opportunities.    Maintain connections with local media outlets and continue seeking new partnership opportunities.    Provides supervision for Recovery Coaches and Recovery Access Coordinators in coordination with the Director of Recovery Strategy & Implementation.   Participate in performance rev

ROOT Recovery Coach / Home of New Vision Job description: The Rapid Overdose Outreach Team Recovery Coach will work with a team to respond to individuals who have experienced an overdose event within 24-72 hours (about 3 days) or 3-5 hours in the local Emergency Departments. This position is primarily a community outreach-based program. The Recovery Coach has primary responsibility for facilitating access to recovery and treatment services for substance use disorder (SUD), including harm reduction practices. It is crucial that the ROOT Recovery Coach is respectful of all pathways of recovery. Recovery coach needs to be well-informed about MAT or MAR options and be well-versed in multiple pathways to recovery. Administrative duties include writing reports and solving service delivery problems. Responsibilities and Duties: Provide recovery related support to those seeking recovery including not limited to prevention, recovery planning activities, and coordinating service delivery for successful outcomes Work with the ROOT team members to best assist the client in the recovery process and to help them build their Recovery Capital Coordinate with outside agencies to provide holistic care for clients Demonstrate cultural awareness, competency, and humility Engage in community outreach to increase community awareness of recovery coaching availability, services access, and naloxone distribution Collect, analyze, and report data Be a recovery advocate for self-determination of recovery goals directed by the client’s needs and wants. Our representation includes people in recovery, family and friends of people in recovery, and other allies of recovery in Washtenaw County. Our mission is to advocate for those affected by substance use disorder to policymakers at all levels of government, open doors and break down barriers to recovery by promoting multiple pathways, and reduce the stigma associated with addiction through the engagement and education of our communities about the truth behind substance use disorder, in turn changing the face of addiction to one of recovery. GENERAL DESCRIPTION:   Under the supervision of the WRAP Program Manager, WRAP Recovery Coaches perform a variety of tasks related to recovery coaching for participants at Home of New Vision and within the community. The position requires an understanding of all aspects of the Recovery-Oriented System of Care approach and the relationships necessary to facilitate coordination with the recovery community, treatment services, and organizations, as well as the scheduling of activities and tasks, tracking information, and data entry. This position is generally located at the Washtenaw Recovery Advocacy Project (WRAP) offices, although the Peer Recovery Coach may perform duties at other locations, including health centers, hospitals, corrections facilities, and in the field. This position may also involve working with specific populations, such as women-specific groups.      DESCRIPTION:   Engage with and develop relationships with participants.   Act as an advocate for participants with the community and the needed services.   Provide transportation to twelve-step meetings, other recovery meetings, or other recovery activities.   Use a strengths-based approach to assist participants in setting SMART goals and planning.   Participate in phone screenings.   Complete mandatory data entry for required reports.   Assist participants in assessing and building/rebuilding their recovery capital.   Document life issues with participants.   Document progress in recovery stages with participants.   Guide new participants into the recovery community.   Provide participant pick-ups for Home of New Vision appointments.   Provide services at alternate locations such as emergency rooms, medical clinics, and in the field.   Provide SBIRT and ASSERT services at primary care settings and hospitals.   Participate in performance reviews as appropriate.   When performing duties in primary care settings and hospitals, follow all rules and regulations of the entity providing services. &nb
