Job description:
The Rapid Overdose Outreach Team Recovery Coach will work with a team to respond to individuals who have experienced an overdose event within 24-72 hours (about 3 days) or 3-5 hours in the local Emergency Departments. This position is primarily a community outreach-based program. The Recovery Coach has primary responsibility for facilitating access to recovery and treatment services for substance use disorder (SUD), including harm reduction practices. It is crucial that the ROOT Recovery Coach is respectful of all pathways of recovery.
Recovery coach needs to be well-informed about MAT or MAR options and be well-versed in multiple pathways to recovery. Administrative duties include writing reports and solving service delivery problems.
